With almost two decades of experience working in psychiatry, Dr. Antonio Bullon serves as attending psychiatrist in the geriatric unit at MetroWest Medical Center in Natick, Massachusetts, and in the geriatric psychiatry service at Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Since 2010, Dr. Antonio Bullon volunteers his services with the Commission de Salud Mental (COSMA) in Ayacucho, Peru, where he spends two weeks every six months in deprived areas of the Andes. To help him better assist those who need his help, he belongs to the Peruvian American Medical Society (PAMS).

Founded in 1973 by a group of Peruvian physicians, PAMS members work with local providers and medical schools to provide free care for patients. With more than 400 members, the organization has donated more than $28 million in equipment, medications, and supplies.

Since it is a nonprofit organization, PAMS relies heavily on financial donations. According to the group, 95 percent of every dollar donated goes directly toward program costs. Those interested in donating can make a general donation or choose to support a specific mission or region, since PAMS has missions that occur throughout the year at various locales.
